NAFTI CERTIFICATE IN FILM & TELEVISION PRODUCTION

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The general course in FILM/TV provides an opportunity to prepare students in basic and relevant areas in film & TV production. The programme provides the introduction to the intellectual and technical expertise needed to get a foothold into the film and TV industry.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the programme, students acquire the following:
• Introductory knowledge in theories and aesthetic appreciation of film
• Basic understanding of industry craft and practices
• Basic understanding of process scripting, design, directing, shooting, doing sound work, and editing a basic video project
• Basic ability to executive a project in digital video

QUALIFICATION:
Any person with secondary or post-secondary education is eligible to apply.

History of Cinema & TV
Media and Society
Introduction to Visual Story Telling
Introduction to Film Aesthetics
Introduction to ICT and Media
Digital Still Photography
Introduction to Digital Video Production
5-Minute Project work in Digital Video

COURSE DURATION: 3-4 Months (Fridays and Saturdays, and Sundays.)
